How many hundreds of millions will the “cap-and-trade” scam kill if passed?
4 CommentsThe UN estimates that 1+ billion people around the world are “food insecure.” How many of those people will the genocidal environmentalists slaughter if their ultra-regressive “cap-and-trade” production tax goes through, causing US agricultural commodity export prices to double (at the very least)?
Maid,Because the only significant source of SO2 emissions is from coal-fired power plants. The SO2 can easily and quite cheaply be scrubbed from the flue gas. No such technology exists for CO2 emissions (nor is it needed), CO2 emissions are far greater in volume than SO2, and there was no tax on ag ouput with the SO2 policy.

We are doomed if the liberal socialist continue in power. If conservatives can get enough votes in 2010, we can pass laws without 0bama’a signature.

None of those disasters happened when cap and trade was first implemented in 1990. It first went into effect to decrease sulfur dioxide emissions from power plants, which are linked to acid rain. The program achieved 100% compliance and power plants traded allowances with one another to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions 22% below the required levels. If cap and trade worked for sulfur dioxide emissions, why can’t it work for CARBON dioxide emissions?
